He is deeply involved in the implementation of the INSPIRE (Infrastructure for spatial information in Europe) European Directive, with a particular focus on: - the harmonization/validation of spatial datasets and metadata - the interoperability of geo-webservices - the validation and testing of the different SDI components.He is also a member of the pool of experts of the INSPIRE MIG (Maintenance and Implementation Group).He is a teacher and responsible for the management and educational organization of professional GIS training courses, held at the professional orders (engineers, geologists, agronomists) and public institutions (CNR – National Research Council, Provinces, Municipalities).He is an ECDL GIS Certified Examiner.He is an expert in the design and implementation of SDI in different sectors (Local Authorities and private stakeholders).He is involved in: - Activities related to INSPIRE data harmonization, defined in the Specific Contract N°3325/B2016/EEA.56527, implementing Framework service contract N°EEA/IDM/15/014-lot2 (Geospatial Standards and UML Modelling) of the European Environment Agency. Epsilon Italia is a partner of the consortium led by KU Leuven - Leuven Research & Development - Waaistraat 6-bus 5105 - 3000 Leuven – BELGIUM. - Activities of data/metadata harmonization and validation according to INSPIRE Directive, Data Model design, INSPIRE data model extension, and technical support on harmonization activities in the frame of several contracts/EU projects.
