Various experiences in development of embedded mechatronic systems -ground based, avionic and space systems- have confronted me with the human factor in any technical achievement.It came to me as an evidence that, notwithstanding the specific organization and culture of the different companies I worked for, they were all facing a tremendous difficulty in taking into account this human factor in their goals and achievements. I started therefore to get familiar with organizational and neuroscience theories in the search of a both scientific and pragmatic solution to face what I regard as a major stake.I got very frustrated with System Engineering theories because of their lack of conceptual consistency and their factual inability to yield workable solutions beyond words. I gave up looking for an ”on the shelves” solution to go my own way.RSE “Relativized System Engineering”, designed by Boulouet Henri, animated by the same motivation, came to me as the framework to work out workable solutions. RSE is based on the MRC (Method for Relativized Conceptualization) by Pr. Mioara Mugur-Schächter, which, in a rigorous and logical construction, put forth and generalized the conceptualization mechanisms involved in quantum physics. In a formal, systematically relativized and pragmatic approach, it puts human finalities at the core of innovation or descriptive processes without making any concession to the scientific or technical character of constructions achieved. And all this, caring for both the scientific and operational sanction –through prototyping-, especially in the fields where classical solutions come to a standstill.I have now been working for 10 years with RSE. I focus mainly on Relativized Information Management (RIM) application of the method. It comes still to me as a daily surprise to see how RSE makes it possible to work out solutions for confuse and intricate situations from a classical point of view.
