I deal with firmware for new generation projects and for platforms used to test electronic boards by means of automatic benches.Thanks to a complete vision of the final product architecture, I am involved in experimental development activities but also in the resolution of complex firmware issues on the existing products

I led the Hardware and Firmware team with responsability of management and monitoring of the related activities.I worked on the definition of a HW development and maintenance process applied to field modifications and obsolescence handling.I was also involved in the establishment of a process to support SW lifecycle.

I joined the R&D department and I worked on the concept and development of a brand new machine; I organized and supervised the activities of the HW development and cabling design assigned to third party suppliers, while I personally developed the firmware of the boards hosted by the machine.

I had the responsability for the design and the code development of a highly customized machine for a specific customer, with the introduction of new and advanced features in addition to the ones currently supported and the management of requirements definition according to the customer expectations. I held a leading position for the coordination of the developer team involved in the project.

As main task I maintained and developed software embedded of actuators for the automotive market.I was also involved in the SW development for automatic test equipments for the characterization of different actuators and the measurement of their performances.I supported the integration and test phases at the customer facilities.

I worked for the software lifecycle management of a complex medical product.In details I had the responsability of the definition and handling of SW requirements, definition of architecture and design specifications, SW risk analysis and code review activities in compliance with SW development process as stated by IEC62304 medical regulation and internal procedures.Besides these formal activities, I developed drivers and applications for the product together with FW for engineering and test purposes.I was also involved in the definition and improvement of SW development process for the company according to SW medical quality standard with the issue of internal procedures and working instructions.I had the responsability to supervise a small group of people too.

During the long period I worked for the telecommunication market I had the opportunity to develop FW for lots of filters/combiners for BTS. Moreover I built several SW application needed for debug and testing.I was also involved in the design of the HW of digital parts.I established solid relationships with the international customers for the detailed definitions of the SW requirements and during the support phases abroad.I had the responsability of the management of the FW development group for the combiners division.

In my first job I worked on HW and FW of remote units installed on cars and trucks together with a central unit handling the vehicle localization by means of GPS and mobile phone. I was involved also in the development of equipments for automatic functional tests and in-circuit PCB testing activities.
