Fabrizio Picariello is a Biomedical Engineer graduated from the Politecnico di Torino, Italy. After an initial experience in physiological research, he joined the User Interaction Department at C.R.F. from July 2008 to July 2014, focusing on Physical and Cognitive Ergonomics. In 2012, he took on a parallel role in Project Management as Performance Engineer for the Fiat 500 and Alfa Romeo Giulietta. This led him to Modena in 2013 for the "Giorgio Project"—Alfa Romeo's secret renaissance project led by Marchionne—where he was involved in the development of the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio. He later became Head of Ergonomics & HMI Performance Competence Center at Maserati and, subsequently, HMI Lead for all Maserati projects, overseeing the User Experience design for Ghibli, Quattroporte, Levante '20, MC20, and the recent Grecale, Granturismo, and GranCabrio models.His career has focused on the User Experience domain, where he leveraged his expertise in leading teams. His key contribution was to integrate biomedical engineering and human factor principles with psycho-physiological methodologies, ensuring that product research and development met the highest standards. His areas of expertise spanned product usability, driver distraction, situational awareness, and emotional status analysis.In addition to this experience, Fabrizio has taken on the role of CEO and COO at Tex Tech S.r.l., a technical textiles company specializing in aerospace applications. Here, he leads cutting-edge R&D projects focusing on innovative metallic knitted fabrics for deployable reflector antennas, meeting the stringent demands of the space industry.With a strong foundation in both biomedical engineering and human-centered design, Fabrizio brings a unique perspective to research and development, particularly in projects involving human-in-the-loop systems. His multidisciplinary expertise, leadership skills, and track record in delivering high-impact results make him a reliable asset in any innovative environment.
