Research focus: Unsupervised Domain Adaptation and GeneralizationIn the conventional training of a neural network, we rely on labeled datasets to facilitate supervised learning. However, when aiming to deploy such a model in a different context where labeled data is scarce or absent, its performance experiences a significant decline, becoming impractical for real-world applications.The essence of Unsupervised Domain Adaptation and Generalization lies in equipping the model to acquire either domain-independent insights that retain significance, or specific knowledge of the deployment conditions. Key Achievements:- Formulated and implemented novel Unsupervised Domain Adaptation techniques.- Demonstrated improved model performance through domain-invariant feature learning.- Daily utilization of TensorFlow and PyTorch to drive experimentation and innovation.- Guided and mentored Bachelor's and Master's students, facilitating their project success.- Coaching role at TU/e Honors Academy 2020, nurturing future talent.- Instructed at Advanced Deep Learning course, teaching students state-of-the-art techniques.
