a) Map regional opportunities and develop closer partnerships with the government and stakeholders of the United States (U.S.), Canada and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO):• Monitor and analyze key policies and initiatives related to One Health, such as the U.S interagency coordination mechanisms and groups on One Heath; Canada, including through Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), Health Canada or the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).• Liaise and develop working relationships with North American institutions to advocate for UNEP priorities related to One Health.• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders in North America, including UN agencies, intergovernmental organizations, civil society groups, and scientific experts, to gather evidence, exchange knowledge, and foster collaboration on One Health.b) Contribute to the mainstreaming of the Environmental Dimension of One Health in Policies and Initiatives.• Enhance UNEP’s understanding of what is happening on One Health at the regional level. • Track and provide timely information on the policy landscape on the environmental dimension of One Health in North America.• Identify existing One Health stakeholder networks in North America and make proposals on how UNEP can either contribute to them or, in the absence of a network, identify with partners how to establish such a network.• Identify funding opportunities and support resource mobilization efforts to expand and deepen UNEP's activities in high-risk countries, leveraging financial and non-financial resources.• Support UNEP’s communication and outreach efforts on One Health, including raising awareness and support for initiatives.• Support the Quadripartite collaboration on One Health, including engaging in and joining Quadripartite collaboration meetings, as relevant.• Promote and gather resources to advance the Nature4Health (N4H) initiative into its second phase.

- Support the inventory of existing initiatives and emerging opportunities in One Health initiatives in the region.- Support the development of an internal strategy for UNEP's involvement in One Health related initiatives in the region and globally.- Participate and assist in the coordination of quadripartite activities in the region, as well as other One Health activities in which UNEP is involved with other quadripartite members and beyond, including contributing to the implementation of the Nature for Health and AMR MPTF projects, joining regular follow-up meetings with AMR Quadripartite+ in LAC, supporting member states in the development of specific strategies, policies and measures.- Contribute to the organization of capacity building and awareness raising activities on the One Health agenda, including AMR.- Contribute to the establishment of the One Health agenda and propose, advise and review specific approaches and studies relevant to the development of a global approach to reduce environmental aspects of health risk, including zoonotic pandemic risk, ecosystem health, pollution and antimicrobial resistance.- Contribute to the preparation of various written products for UNEP and the Quadripartite, draft background papers, analytical notes, sections of reports and studies, contributions to regional publications and assessments, strategy papers, policy guidelines and recommendations.- Work with key donors and partners to support the development, resource mobilization, implementation and evaluation of assigned One Health related programs/projects, including contributing to the preparation of funding proposals and project concept notes.- Provide technical support to Latin American and Caribbean Member States to strengthen the implementation of the One Health approach.- Contribute to creating UNEP's integrated narrative of One Health and Sustainable Food Systems in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Collaborate with the task lead to manage document submissions and management of thedocument repository using WHO SharePoint tool, notably:-Ensure timely distribution of documents to reviewers ahead of each weekly PRC meeting;-Develop and distribute an agenda of submissions for each meeting and ensure correctnessand completion;-Conduct a quality check of the PRC repository to ensure that all related materials are clearand up to date, and available on the Intranet site. - Desk review and data collection and analysis of NCD risk factors among children and adolescents in regional, country context- Conduct policy scoping: identify existing policies and programs in LAC which address NCD prevention, in line with the interventions included in the UNICEF mapping tool- Review UNICEF programmatic information including Strategic Monitoring Questionnaires (SMQs), and Country Office Annual Reports (COARs) for 2019.- Liaise with UNICEF Country Offices to obtain additional information, if require it.- Identify key actors and organizations in NCD prevention targeting children and adolescents at Regional level that could be important partners for UNICEF work at Regional Level.-Create a virtual site where all the information and documents could be uploaded, using UNICEF Sharepoint site, including relevant policy and programme documents for South # South information exchange.-Researched and developed timely and essential public health guidance materials for National policy implementation.
