I’ve worked as an English teacher for nine year and as a teacher in a writing workshop. In between, I’ve collaborated as a free-lancer for some clients, translating, proofreading and writing. All of them tasks that have language in their core.As a teacher, I’ve organized and leaded groups of different ages. I had to understand their needs in order to prepare the classes. So my emotional intelligence has grown a lot from that experience. At the same time, I’ve adapted the contents to each individual class, so as a result I’ve got engaged students and eager to learn.As a translator, I’ve worked with clients that needed their material translated. Those bodies of text were mostly literary works, and I had great feed-back from those experiences.I’ve also created a writing workshop to help writers have a second reading of their texts. Not only do I check grammar and syntax, but I also help them rethink what they are intending to write. Does it work? Why? Why not? At that stage, I also gather texts of other writers to compare and widen one’s understanding of what they want to convey.This is a side quest, but I also got into digital design, as I always love art in all its forms. I’ve used Photoshop for more than ten years now, so I am pretty good at it. I expanded my knowledge and also got into Vegas PRO, which is a software for editing videos. Whatever the task is, I use my creativity as the main tool. Languages, whether they are written, visual or audible, will cast me into a working flow.
