Lead of a multidisciplinary and interuniversity team of students that participated remotely in the ERC 2023 (European Rover Challenge) and is currently preparing to participate on-site in the ERC 2024 in Krakow, Poland. Primarily tasked with the mechatronic design, manufacture and control of a Mars’ rover analog, which has to complete multiple autonomous tasks, including construction of infrastructures, exploration (aided by a drone), surface sampling, and maintenance, according to the rigorous standards set by the ESA (European Space Agency).

Member of a Focus Group on Autonomous Networks (FG-AN Build-a-thon 2023-24) organized by the ITU (International Telecommunication Union), which studies the architecture framework, use cases, and possible gaps in the standardization of AN. Presented a proposal of AN application, “Advanced Comms Agent Switcher for Lunar Base Camp via LunaNet (ACASNet)”, at the CEC 2023 (Central American Space Congress) in San José, Costa Rica.Invited to present an interactive presentation and co-author a technical paper at the IAC 2024 (International Astronautical Congress), and to participate in the Student Team Challenge 2024 by AIDAA (Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics), both in Milan, Italy.

Contributed to developing a testing platform for CubeSats’ electrical power system, known as IPTC (Integrated Power Testing for CubeSats), as part of a Graduation Project to attain the title of Mechatronics Engineer.Focused on the design, implementation and validation of a Solar Array Simulator module for the IPTC. Developed a computer vision algorithm, implemented an analytical model to emulate the performance of solar arrays under varying external conditions, designed and simulated digital controllers for a synchronous buck converter, developed an IoT platform using Google Apps Script to remotely control and monitor the solution, as well as keeping records on a database, developed the mechanical design and validation of a chassis for the electronic hardware, and carried out experimental tests and their statistical analysis to validate the fulfillment of the project's requirements.

Collaborated in a cultural extension program with customer service (face-to-face, through calls and emails), logistical support, audio-to-text transcriptions, updating of a contacts database, inventory keeping, and automation of emails and calendar events using Microsoft 365.

Provided customer service to students by printing their files and blueprints, and selling of materials, as well as troubleshooting the labs' computers, printers, and scanners, whenever problems arose.
