As a higher education lecturer, I teach Human Anatomy to students who are planning to further their undergraduate studies in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Allied Health Sciences Programs (Physiotherapy, Psychology and Occupational Therapy). As the responsibilities of a lecturer are wide ranging, administrative tasks also take up a significant part of my working day. I also play a supporting and an advisory role to the mentees assigned under my monitoring. I am also actively attending conferences, trainings and seminars in my field of expertise which allows me to upgrade my knowledge and establish collaborative links with other institutions. I am also conducting research projects to contribute to the wider research activities of the institution. By having articles published, either in the form of a book or a scholarly article, this can help raise the profile of my employing institution.
