The load cases considered in the analyses were overbend and sagbend during S-lay installation of the pipeline, operation and system pressure test. Wheatstone detailed project for Allseas/Chevron in Australia: Responsible for development of non-linear FE analysis methodology in ANSYS WB and code checks in Mathcad. The method was used to analyses the 44” ILT. Analysis were performed on load cases such as overbend and sagbend during S-lay installation of the pipeline, operation, earthquake, hydrodynamic loads, system pressure test, landing impact, lifting and FAT. Performed evaluations were local buckling, fatigue, welds, bolts, dropped objects and cathodic protection. In-house projects:- Developed an analyses method for global buckling analyses of flexible pipelines in Ansys APDL. The analyses was modeled with among others non-linear bending stiffness and non-linear friction. The development work was undertaken as the commercial program Simla does not support non-linear bending stiffness. - Developed the in-house program for rigid spool analyses to include adjacent structure like ILT, PLET, etc, and the tie-in system in-between. - Developed a methodology to perform a corrosion control assessment on pipelines at a detailed design level. - Developed a work-method to streamline Simla analyses. - IT-coordinated the total change of the IT-system in the office to the Kongsberg system.
