Environmental Engineer
Current• Assist in preparing detailed engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documents. • Prepare engineering reports, considering all aspects of the project.• Develop or prepare descriptive charts, figures/maps, and tables/matrices. • Support cost-benefit analysis. • Perform field work or construction observation.• Perform writing assignments to contribute to project documentation and deliverables such as memos and reports.• Assist with quality control and assurance.• Implementation of site characterization studies, feasibility studies, and engineering evaluations on soil and groundwater assessment and remediation projects.• Preparation of design plans and specifications, construction monitoring, cost estimating, field sampling project and task management.• Technical experience involves contaminant fate and transport in porous and fractured media, site investigation and characterization, and the selection, design, implementation, and interpretation of innovative in situ remediation technologies for treatment of a broad suite of contaminants, including chlorinated solvents.• Prepare environmental and construction permit applications and supporting materials. • Provide strategic consultations during the execution of environmental projects to support GHG management and decarbonization initiatives.• Oversee the development and implementation of the project GHG protocol, applying innovative approaches to GHG emissions reduction, especially for methane.• Establish business goals and identify opportunities for GHG reduction.• Promotes a preventive approach and ensures the health and safety of team members.• Contributes to the implementation of the Action Plan, performance review, and roadmap within their scope.• Raise awareness among teams and ensure adherence to environmental guidelines, allocating necessary prevention resources and fostering individual accountability.
