Leading a team of systems professionals and program managers to align goals and objectives of the Information Technology environment with Strategic direction and organizational priorities. Prepares departmental budgets for sustaining operational efficiencies and introducing innovative new technologies, while monitoring cost / benefit analyses and the return on investment. Supports Best Practices (ITIL, Agile, Change Management, Problem Management, Risk Management, Cyber Security. Maintains knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Personal Information Protection and Privacy Act (PIPPA), and Payment Card Industry / Data Security Standard (PCI).

Direct a team of 35 professionals covering production support, sustainment of IT environment and management of project initiatives. The areas include: Infrastructure and Network services; Security; Project Management; Application Development; Enterprise & Retail Systems. The IT department has evolved to the level of strong partnership with the Business to provide strategic direction for enabling and streamlining technology solutions. Another key focus is to manage vendor relations to ensure the technology products and services are secured in the most efficient and effective manner.The Co-op IT department focuses on supporting the Technology use by all Co-op employees in Head office as well as the 85 + retail stores. Key current initiatives include: upgrade and expansion of Wide Area Networks and managed WIFI at the stores; implementation of advanced technology solutions that facilitate communication and support of the customer experience through the introduction of personalized loyalty promotions and online member portal; Security and Internet safety awareness and e.learning, and implementation of innovative IT solutions in all of our areas of operations covering: Food, Pharmacy, Gas Bars, Liquor, Home Health Care, and Cannabis. -Manage consulting and product development in Business and Technology Management;-Develop procedures and methodologies in the areas of Risk Management, Contingency Planning, Security, and System Integration;-Manage daily operations covering consulting projects, product development, administrative and financial activities;-Participate in preparing for and conducting conferences and seminars in North America, Europe, Australia and the Middle East;-Recruit and manage a complement of technical and business consultants;-Participate in the Strategic Planning and Business Development activities for the various products and services offered by CRISP & BEST in the areas of Cyber Security & Information Technology Management.

- Manage a department with a staff count of 45 and comprised of four main functions:o System Analysis and Project Management;o Data Base maintenance and integrity review;o Coordination of monthly Accounting close and reporting;- Coordinate the Merger activities between Amoco Canada and Dome Petroleum and oversee the management of 80 projects that address the following:o Integration of two Accounting processes and moving to a single financial system;o Migration of Capital, Expense and Revenue to single Production, Revenue and Marketing Systems;o Establish a new system portfolio that meets the requirements of the new combined company.- Establish Project Management policies and guidelines - Develop an overall system architecture consistent with new technological directions.- Manage the review and evaluation of vendor products.- Conduct business area analysis and develop short and long term strategic systems plan consistent with the Company's business plan.

- Manage a security group in the design, implementation and maintenance of procedures and methods to: o ensure the integrity, reliability and confidentiality of information systems;o protect the information processing resources, ando ensure the survivability of computer supported business functions.- Oversee and participate in the design, testing and implementation of the data processing disaster recovery plan.- Oversee and participate in the design, enhancement, implementation and maintenance of the security environments:o Logical;o Physical;o End User Computingo Telecommunications- Design and implementation information security policies, standards and guidelines.
