Working for a variety of schools in Lebanon, Fadi Said prepared the curriculum to fit the requirement of the Ministry of Education, especially for the official examinations. This was the way Fadi started his travels with pens and books as an educator.Fadi’s experience with technology started with Microsoft Excel when computer software was very new in schools, and teachers were struggling with computers. At this time, it was only used as an administrative tool, not an instructional tool. Fadi, however, was using Excel to demonstrate different types of math concepts as an instructional tool and an administrative tool; moreover, he was helping other instructors learn how to use it as well.Years later, the use of technology has been improved dramatically and Internet connections that are provided for teachers and students led Fadi to start working more and more to find and enrich his teaching skills. He started searching for new teaching strategies where he discovered one of his most important teaching tools after a long travel to China: a smart active device which allows Fadi to control his white board from anywhere in his class. This makes him very close to his students, and he is able to see the board from his students’ perspective. This perspective helped him discover the barriers standing in front of his students' success in learning.In addition to Fadi's work as eLearning Coordinator, he has supported his schools as an Advanced Placement (AP) Coordinator and teacher as well as an SAT Coordinator. I believe that his teaching skills and his technical skills, coupled with his patience and enthusiasm, will help make him a great addition to any educational team. More importantly, he will work on making a big difference for the faculty and students in an area where he feels passionate: the intersection of teaching and technology.
