the STSA is a club at the Sprott School of Business focusing on removing the stress of tax season for fellow students, along with outside clients. Along with this we also use this opportunity to train and organize volunteers to complete the tax returns to allow fellow Sprott students to gain experience in tax. The Edge Group is a New Jersey-based firm that consults portfolio and fund managers on investing in corporate events such as spin-offs or mergers and acquisitions. Through my time with The Edge, I've completed the following tasks under the supervision and guidance of firm leaders Jim Osman, Jonathan P. Morgan, and Alex Korda.• Researched and analyzed the performance of historical spinoffs to identify success factors and create a weighted scoring system; achieved 77% accuracy in predicting the profitability of future special situations.•Assessed all IPOs since June 2021 and identified the top 10 high-growth companies based on key performance metrics; presented findings to firm founders highlighting Dole Plc (NYSE: DOLE) and its potential upside of 27%.• Summarized upcoming special situations, highlighting key opportunities for investment, and created investment alerts for clients improving client returns using the designed alerts.• Conducted research on corporations trending negatively in hopes of finding solutions to their loss of value. This led to the findings of promising investment ideas which were pitched to activist investors.

Through the multiple departments I've had the pleasure to be a part of the following roles have been consistent: - Analyses of payment issues and expenditure corrections to ensure the viability of year end books.- Analyses of cash flow over a time period for subjects such as over payments, under payments, corporate expenditures, etc.- Verification of corporate purchases in alignment with the Financial code- Consistent team and strategy meetings to discuss the direction of our work along with pertinent issues that need addressing

Greek on Wheels will always hold a special place to me as it was the first job I ever had at the age of 14. A then boss, now life time friend, in Nabil Saikali took a chance on me and really helped me grow as a person and employee. Through my time at Greek on wheels I was given the opportunity to understand all the different operations and requirements necessary for a restaurant to function. From learning my specific role, to learning to love business from Nabil; it wouldn't be drastic to say that this role nurtured my love for business. Below are some of the tasks and responsibilities I took on:- Restaurant Host: begin of my sales experience. Taking orders from customers in person or over the phone. Taught me how to increase the sense of value per dollar spent.- Prep and Inventory management: Prepared different components of dishes to increase restaurant efficiency during busy hours.- Management: Aided the owner of the restaurant in insuring quality of orders, consistency of orders, maintenance of prepped inventory, and customer assurance.
