Senior Manager, Finance And Corporate Services
Current-Responsible for full cycle accounting for a fast-growing Not-for-Profit organization that serves as a procurement sourcing partner for Ontario's Colleges, Universities and School Boards and other broad public sector organizations.-Manage the finance department team that is responsible for Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Health Benefits, Group Retirement Savings Plan as well as other various functions.-Produce monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports.-Prepare budgets and forecasts for current and future fiscal years.-Manage the Payroll Specialist to ensure the company’s Payroll, Health Benefit Plan and Group Retirement Savings Plan are accurate and in compliance with employment standards.-Manage the AR Specialist to ensure revenues are recorded and invoiced accurately and the collections process is done professionally and on a timely basis.-Oversee the process of disbursing and depositing cheques and other payments/deposits to ensure security controls continue to maintain the integrity of our financial system.-Coach and mentor my team to help them to grow and develop their role. -Work with my team to ensure processes are done efficiently utilize new technologies where possible to benefit the organization by saving time and reducing costs.-Set goals and carry out performance reviews to highlight strengths and help develop other areas of my team members.-Manage the company’s IT inventory and all internal procurement contracts.-Work with various directors, vice-president and CEO to provide financial information and advice as needed.-Collaborate with HR and other various departments within the organization to find efficiencies and complete projects.-Support our external auditors on an annual basis to ensure we are in compliance with accounting standards and to protect the integrity of our financial reports.-Liaison with the CRA and other government agencies as required.
