Ossia is the world premiere remote wireless power company. COTA Technology and the COTA Platform, in addition to its wireless power aspects, is an E2E IoT Platform. I lead a global Solutions organizations which focuses on: Embedded Development, Mobile, Cloud, Big Data, AI and IoT. In addition, as a member of the executive team, I contribute to Ossia’s strategy, planning, governance and promotion, including working with customers and potential partners. Some of my major accomplishments are:• Led both the Solutions (software) and Engineering (hardware) organizations in the second half of 2016 to deliver the next generation of the COTA technology including the new ceiling tile form-factor. We won the CES 2017 Innovation Award in the Smart Cities category, in addition to being reported on in multiple media outlets, including Time Magazine under “Big Idea”.• Leading the implementation of COTA’s E2E IoT Platform which spans COTA firmware, Edge Computing, Big Data, COTA Cloud, AI and BI. Multiple generations of these technologies have been delivered.• Core contributor to strategy, the establishment of the organizational structure and processes at Ossia.

Lead a team in implementing Skype's Big Data pipeline on Azure, Hive, and implementation of Microsoft Power BI and Data Visualization. An important aspect of the implementation is the processing Skype internet scale volume of data in near real-time based on lambda architecture.

SAS is at the inflection point of growth. As VP of Engineering I established the organizational structure needed to achieve the targeted phase for 2012 and to deliver on a number of small to medium sized projects for large customers such as the Honeywell, AOPA and the FAA. This included establishing the Project Management, Development, Test and Release disciplines, in addition hiring resources (internal, contract and offshore), managing budget, and the setup of required infrastructure.Major Contributions: • Successfully planned and led the development of the Seattle Avionics iOS Mobile Aviation Platform which includes Charting, UI, Location Services, Notification, Flight Planning, 3D amongst other services. This platform was used in the development of a number of products at SAS.• Lead teams to successfully deliver multiple major EFB products for Honeywell and the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA) on both iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices. • Release of AOPA FlyQ to both the Apple AppStore (iPhone), and to Google Play (Android).• Deployed Cloudera’s Hadoop Distribution (CDH4) on AWS and MS/Hortonworks Distribution on Widows (HDInsight) as part of work on the next generation of the platform. Some aspects of the POCs are: using Map / Reduce to optimize flight planning calculation; leveraging Mahout capabilities to add more features to our platform; Data Visualization.• Developed cloud integration between device monitoring and crash Analytics system (Crashlytics) and bug tracking system.

Led a global development team (70 FTEs & vendors) in Redmond and India which includes managers, leads & ICs, architects, middle-tier, database and build & deployment professionals. Our systems process $20 billion revenue through the OEM channel. The team is based in Redmond and India, and it includes managers, leads & ICs, middle-tier, database and build & deployment professionals.Major Contributions: • Successfully planned and led the development of the new platform for OEM IT which is based on SOA principles and implements the most advanced Microsoft technologies. The new platform which includes one major implementation on top of it, integrates with backend systems such as SAP and activation systems, in addition to interfacing with OEM partner systems, and providing easy to use BI reports and tools (leveraging SSAS ETL & OLAP) both to internal and external customers. This is a $65 million program. Technologies include SOAP, REST, JSON, BizTalk, Silverlight, Entity Framework, WCF, .NET 4.0, SQL Server 2008, Windows Server 2008.• Achieved a 12-point improvement in Work Health Index for my organization at Microsoft• Achieved significant improvements in Automation, Unit Test Automation & Coverage (and other best practices & efficiencies), and organizational alignments.• Successfully managed a number of cutting edge PoCs (AZURE - PaaS / Cloud / AppFabric, MS SynC Framework, .NET Parallel processing, Pex & Moles, etc.)

Led the Technical Infrastructure Group of the GE Centricity Enterprise (CE) integrated clinical / financial product built on the HP Non-Stop platform. Extend products capabilities by integrating third-party (Reporting & Business Rules) products. Manage 15 software engineers and offshore Quality Assurance resources. Streamline and transform areas including deployment in OSS and in standards development.Major Contributions: * Led a cross-P&L initiative to consolidate hardware and the server software platforms for multiple GE Healthcare P&L systems. Also, led the initiative to verify CE on the new Blades platform. * Led the implementation of Centricity Enterprise at Valley Baptist Medical Center* Utilized Microsoft Solutions Framework expertise to implement a clinical flow-sheet system, Web services, Blaze expert system training, e-Prescribing and document imaging in first 4 months.* Developed a System Configurator system to validate systems configuration combinations, utilizing C#, SQL Server 2008, ASP.NET and LINQ.

I lead the MS Technology Group at ADGAS with the target of achieving CMM level 2 and 3 based on a proposal I submitted to Sr. Management. The initiative involved the implementation technical best practices, upgrade of technical expertise, Agile methodology (SCRUM), MS Solutions Framework and the implementation Visual Studio Team System / Foundation Server.Furthermore, I have architected and lead the development of the e-Bidding system which includes integration with SAP via BizTalk and implementation of a workflow using K2.NET, SQL Server, ASP.NET, C# and MS SharePoint. This project, also, laid the foundation for SOA in the organization.Later, I worked on the upgrade of the Intranet portal to MOSS 2007. This work also included some implementation of WCF.

ARAMCO is the largest oil producer in the world. •Provided consulting services regarding Software Development Lifecycle management, group organization, server architecture & best practices. The core of the effort was rollout of the Microsoft Solutions Framework Process & Team models.• Led the development of the Tanker Vetting System. This is an important system to ARAMCO business as it automates the process of admitting tankers into Saudi Aramco ports. This process addresses technical port tanker to berth fitting criteria and regulation compliance criteria. Due to the remarkable success in this project, my team and I were recognized by the customer for our efforts. This system was developed in Visual Basic.NET against an Oracle database. My role covered the whole life-cycle from requirement gathering, architecture and design to development, testing and deployment.• Created an LDAP SOAP web service in C#.NET for use as part of a Single Sign-On Scheme.

Managed team working on the development of an Online Prescription application. It was based on ASP, COM+, XML/XSL, Oracle 8i. In addition, developed a number of SOAP web services using ASP.NET and C#. Moreover, I developed a prototype for the same application to run on the Pocket PC.

Stellcom was a highly specialised Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. As a Project Manager, I managed engagement with Stellcom clients. In addition to managing budget, resources and time, I managed the whole project across the SDLC. Moreover, I provided technical management as well.

I was managing multiple teams (13 to 25 developers) working on multiple eCommerce initiatives at Gateway. My role combined project management, technical leadership and team management. My responsibilities included hiring employees, assigning them to projects, and managing their progress. In addition, on any given project I was involved in all phases of the lifecycle from gathering requirements, through design, development, testing and deployment; providing leadership, technical and otherwise, throughout. Moreover, I worked on building the eCommerce development group by introducing standards, outlining a training and growth plan and developing service level agreements with other groups. The project I worked on ranged from large $70 million projects to smaller projects. The systems we worked on included an ERP system, JD Edwards, in addition to Oracle and SQL Server.

I worked as a team-lead on a project for one of our clients, Pacific Life Insurance Company, to automate their competition desk. This application will give Pacific Life a strategic Advantage over its competitors through the implementation of Knowledge Management process utilizing SQL Server 7.0, MS Site Server 3.0 and LDAP, in addition to ASP, VB / COM. My involvement spanned different phases of the project from Vision / Scope, requirements gathering, functional specifications and design.

I worked as a Senior Consultant for Vertex Systems (a MS Gold Partner). As a project technical lead, I was involved in all phases of a project from pre-sales, vision scope and functional specification to Architectural design, implementation and overseeing other developers’ work. The area of concentration was E-Commerce and Data Warehousing. We were working with the local Microsoft office on pushing their latest products (SQL 7.0, Plato and Site Server 3.0) into the market.One of the projects I worked on was for BigWords.com. I developed a system that enabled them to integrate data about books from different sources into their schema. This integration was based on business rules that took into consideration the level of completeness and confidence in the various sources. This project was based on ASP, VB / COM and SQL server 7.0.

Parke-Davis was part of Warner Lambert at the time. Now both are part of PFIZER.I lead the team working on developing an Intranet-based financial application for the Finance department to track expenditures on clinical studies for Parke-Davis, worldwide. As the technical lead, my role involved requirements gathering, database modeling and development, prototyping, and programming, in addition to administering both SQL Server and IIS. In developing this application, a number of systems were implemented; Windows NT 4.0, VB/COM, MS SQL Server 6.5 and Oracle 7.3 / UNIX, IIS 4.0, MS Transaction Server 2.0, and IE 4.0. Moreover, the development tools included Visual InterDev, VB 5.0 and FrontPage 98. In addition, I implemented business objects to encapsulate business rules.

Worked at the Telemedicine & Technology Assessment Office (TTAO) of the Office of the Lead Agent for Tricare, region 9.The 3 main areas of emphasis were Telemedicine, Tele-Education and Web-Technology. As the senior Webmaster, I was involved in the design and implementation of the different projects in addition to setting the goals and strategy for the region. My work involved administering the web servers, the SQL server, NetShow Server and the NT domain. In addition to administration, I was a developer as well. One example is a web-based Scheduling Service for the U.S. Pacific Fleet. Moreover, a major portion of the work involved Internet video-conferencing and database connectivity. Technologies included Cold Fusion, and /or Active Server Pages, with SQL Server. We moved more towards a Microsoft solution using Jscript / VBScript / DHTML on the client, MS Visual Studio, IIS, MS Transaction, SQL server.
