This included establishing the Project Management, Development, Test and Release disciplines, in addition hiring resources (internal, contract and offshore), managing budget, and the setup of required infrastructure.Major Contributions: • Successfully planned and led the development of the Seattle Avionics iOS Mobile Aviation Platform which includes Charting, UI, Location Services, Notification, Flight Planning, 3D amongst other services. This platform was used in the development of a number of products at SAS.• Lead teams to successfully deliver multiple major EFB products for Honeywell and the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA) on both iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices. • Release of AOPA FlyQ to both the Apple AppStore (iPhone), and to Google Play (Android).• Deployed Cloudera’s Hadoop Distribution (CDH4) on AWS and MS/Hortonworks Distribution on Widows (HDInsight) as part of work on the next generation of the platform. The new platform which includes one major implementation on top of it, integrates with backend systems such as SAP and activation systems, in addition to interfacing with OEM partner systems, and providing easy to use BI reports and tools (leveraging SSAS ETL & OLAP) both to internal and external customers. This is a $65 million program. The core of the effort was rollout of the Microsoft Solutions Framework Process & Team models.• Led the development of the Tanker Vetting System. This is an important system to ARAMCO business as it automates the process of admitting tankers into Saudi Aramco ports. This process addresses technical port tanker to berth fitting criteria and regulation compliance criteria. Due to the remarkable success in this project, my team and I were recognized by the customer for our efforts. This system was developed in Visual Basic.NET against an Oracle database. My role covered the whole life-cycle from requirement gathering, architecture and design to development, testing and deployment.• Created an LDAP SOAP web service in C#.NET for use as part of a Single Sign-On Scheme. -
