I fundamentally believe that our lives should make the world a better place than we found it, and I have tried to reflect this value in my career path. For over a decade I have worked with inspiring nonprofit organizations, taking the great work of the program staff and amplify it with creative, clever communications and insightful operation support. In the process, I have become skilled in communications, publications, social media, project management, research, annual giving, fundraising, and grant writing. I started out with a BA focused in History from Oberlin College, and in 2018 I received a certificate in project management from the University of Wisconsin Extension. I believe in the power of the written word and in finding the perfect voice to engage the right audience; from a small group of high-value contributors or an online community of tens-of-thousands of supporters, everyone responds to the right words at the perfect time. My work has shown that marketing can be a force for good, building communities. educating decisionmaking, and supporting the work of my colleagues.
