From a young age, my focus has been on compassion, culture, and equality. I wanted to connect to the cultures of my ancestors and find ways to change the world for the better. I developed an interest in storytelling and world building when I was 8 or 9 years old, creating elaborate stories that held central themes based on what I was observing in the world.As I grew older, I felt a loss of direction because I didn't know how to tie my values and passions to a career path. I started in culinary arts, trying to connect people through food and cooking for soup kitchens in my spare time. I felt strongly connected to the work I was doing at the shelters and wanted to find a way to do more. As time went on, I realized that many people simply did not understand the reality of the world we're living in. I began writing short stories focused around fictional characters that were facing real world issues as a way to bring light to the situations that many people are in.While I love writing, I never felt at home in the world of the written word. I started branching out into other ways to tell stories and get people interacting with a world of my own making. That's when I really found where I felt at home. I started developing games. It started with homebrew Dungeons and Dragons campaigns and progressed into me getting my game design degree at Full Sail University in 2023. My heart still lies in helping people so I have continued on my current path, getting food from food banks to people in need that don't have access to them.Now, I get to make a difference to people experiencing food insecurity at United Way of King County and make games on the side.
