World-class training delivered to the Joint Military Attache School (JMAS), Diplomatic Security Training Center (DSTC), the Tokyo Olympics (2021) and at over 60 U.S. Embassies and Consulates in over 40 countries on 5 continents.

Principal staff officer to the Division Chief, Strategic Leadership Division, providing recommendations and direction of U.S. Army policy, oversight, research and analysis for the Foreign Area Officer (FAO) program. Worked closely with audiences such as the Army and Joint Staff, Secretary of Defense, DIA and other commands to ensure quality accessions, life cycle management and professional development for Army FAOs. Conducted research on topics identifying and summarizing relevant information, and conducted briefings and provided written analytic products for the most senior leaders of the U.S. Army. Planned, assessed and recommended Counternarcotics policy and strategy for Latin America to the Secretary of Defense and other senior military and civilian decision makers. Formulated, coordinated and implemented national security and military strategies in the region working with stakeholder in the Department of Defense, National Security Council, Drug Enforcement Agency, U.S. Congress, U. S. Embassies and foreign governments. Represented the DOD on senior-level interagency committees and crafted U.S. positions and policies. Prepared and contributed to key policy documents including Presidential Decision Directives, National Security Strategy, National Drug Control Strategy, and Combatant Command Plans, while planning and managing the use of more than $430M in Counter Narcotics programs.

Senior U. S. Army Instructor at the Brazilian Army Staff College. Charged with increasing Brazilian Army inter-operability by researching, preparing training and designing curriculum on U. S. Army doctrine, polices and international strategy. Applied research to practice to manage the day-to-day operations of a higher education emergency management and intelligence program while advising on the conduct of research of crisis management, military support to civilian authority, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, leadership, strategy, intelligence, military history and peacekeeping operations. Joint duty assignment representing the Secretary of Defense and Director of DIA to the Guatemalan Government and Armed Forces on multiple issues. Overt intelligence collector reporting on strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence information on Guatemalan Armed Forces to the intelligence community. Provided support to the Commander, U. S. Southern Command and other DOD entities in the areas of emergency management, humanitarian assistance operations and disaster relief. Led crisis response centers with military officers from multiple countries in disaster relief providing emergency recovery guidance. Researched and analyzed national infrastructure, national police operations, military readiness, capabilities, vulnerabilities and intentions. Identified political-military implications and recommended appropriate courses of action on multiple topics. Planned, directed and executed overt intelligence reporting and intelligence oversight.

Instructed at all levels in Spanish and Portuguese, developing and extending cadet’s foreign language competence in a cultural, historical and literary context at the United States Military Academy (USMA), West Point. Provided administrative management for six instructors while planning and directing five undergraduate courses for 350 cadets. Developed lesson plans, prepared and presented daily instruction, wrote and administered exams, and reported student progress. Served as academic advisor for cadets majoring in Portuguese. Served on USMA Admissions Committee. Served on Foreign Language Curriculum Redesign Committee. Served as Faculty Mentor for Spanish and Portuguese Clubs.
