Fahad F. Al Furaih is the manager of Aramco's venture building arm (LAB7) with a mission of converting game-changing ideas into technology-based startups. His dedication to fostering innovation stems from his extensive professional background across engineering, business development, and leadership roles. Upon joining Aramco, Fahad took the role of Control Systems and Instrumentation Engineer, working with critical company facilities. Since then, Fahad obtained a wealth of diverse experience leading innovation, technology, digital transformation and operational excellence programs for 10 oil and gas plants across the Kingdom. Prior to his post as LAB7 manager, Fahad was the head of Venture Building at LAB7, where he led teams of engineers and business development analysts in conducting commercial due-diligence and investment memos for LAB7's incubation committee. Prior to that, he was part of the core team to establish LAB7 as the first of its kind venture builder in the region.Fahad holds a bachelor’s of science in electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), a master's of science in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from KFUPM Business School. Fahad is a licensed professional engineer by NCEES, and has completed multiple leadership development programs from Harvard Business School and The Wharton School.
