The web service serves as a backend for Android/iOS apps for B*** W****** hotels/resorts, with a focus on nearly zero downtime using AWS services in the us-west-2 region, along with a disaster recovery infrastructure located in us-east-2.
Developed an AWS Kinesis Firehose Delivery Stream along with a CloudWatch Subscription Filter to send application-level logs to Splunk.
Worked on two AWS Lambda-based services deployed in dev/qa/prod environments, written in Python and integrated with Twilio. These services are responsible for sending confirmation text immediately upon user reservation and pre-arrival text 72 hours before their check-in at B*** W****** hotels.
Utilized Amazon EC2 services for the efficient deployment of web services on Payara Micro, ensuring a reliable and scalable infrastructure. A cookbook hosted on the Chef server fetches attributes from Chef Vault, and the Chef-Client runs every 30 minutes to check the configurations of the system.
Designed and Developed 3 Jenkins CI/CD pipelines with SonarQube and Nexus integration.
