> Worked on compiling an epigenetic splice code that governs alternative splicing in both plants and animals using HMMs, CNNs, RNNs, and Self-Attention models. > Worked on Archaeal chromatin modification and regulation, a project in collaboration with Dr. Tom Santangelo's lab at Biochemistry department, Colorado State University.> Worked on Prion domain and general protein degradation prediction using multiple instance learning during Summer of 2017. This project was in collaboration with Dr. Eric D. Ross's lab at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular biology, at Colorado State University.> Worked on a DOE funded project on studying stress response in Sorghum bicolor (crop). I mainly worked on the transcriptomic data analyses (gene expression and regulation, alternative splicing etc.) and epigenomic data (such CHIPseq, DNase I-seq, and ATACseq). > Used large-margin classifiers to identify motifs and signals driving the phenomenon of Alternative Splicing (AS) in plants> Worked on a NSF funded project on protein function prediction and evaluation using support vector machines.

> Used machine learning models (logistic regression, SVMs, and random forests etc.) to predict enhancer and other regulatory elements activity in reporter assays using publicly available datasets (genomic + epigenomic) as well as the Company's internally generated data.> Deployed a deep learning model (deep convolutional neural network) as a scale-up version of the initial experiment using Tensorflow, both locally and on Amazon AWS. The model used integrated gradients for attributing the network's predictions.
