I started as a programmer for the Islamic Core Banking system, took all the jobs available to gain my skills and knowledge. I always remember a quote by Microsoft when I attended their conference in 2004 (which I manage to meet Bill Gates), "Work Hard and Smart". I applied that in my life. Later, I've been assigned to lead and build a very complex investment calculation engine for one of our clients. It was a success. As Technical Lead, I managed to complete a few projects, before I decided to jump and take it to another level.
