Technical lead of Wikimedia's TechOps globally distributed team, responsible for all things related to datacenter, network, system operations and DevOps work, using exclusively open source software tools. Through hands-on work and collaboration with multiple development teams, ensured that Wikimedia's websites operate, perform and scale to more than 500 million users.The Wikimedia Foundation is nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to encouraging the growth, development and distribution of free, multilingual content, and to providing the full content of these wiki-based projects to the public free of charge. It operates some of the largest collaboratively edited reference projects in the world, including Wikipedia.Promoted to Principal Engineer, Wikimedia's top engineering level, in February 2014. Increasing management responsibilities during that period, including as Acting Director of TechOps in 2017.

Part of GRNET's VNOC since September 2004, a distributed operations center with more than a dozen subcontractors and until November 2008 when the in-house NOC was founded. Part of the initial systems team of three people in the newly-founded NOC, which oversaw development, planning & operations of the systems infrastructure with a renowned focus into systems & services. The infrastructure grew from a dozen servers managed manually, to 400 servers managed in a fully automated fashion using DevOps practices, in just over two years, facilitating the company's strategic move to high-traffic end-user web services and private cloud infrastructures.GRNET is the Greek Research and Technology Network, the national state-owned NREN, providing high-quality infrastructure & services to the academic, research and educational community of Greece.
