I graduated in March 2001 and was immediately offered a managerial role in one of the leading textile manufacturing organizations of Pakistan. Application of the knowledge I gained from the bachelors programme together with hard work and sincere efforts enabled me to rapidly progress to the position of Technical Manager. A significant change which I brought into the organization culture was the introduction of quality circles for the achievement and continual improvement of measurable departmental targets of quality, production and maintenance. News of technological advancements and innovations in the textile materials and applications domains made me realize the need to improve upon my professional education. Therefore, I decided to take a career break and enrolled in MA Textile Innovation and Branding programme offered by University of Leeds, UK in 2011. My final research and dissertation, entitled effect of alkali treatment on coarse cotton fibre to improve its spinning potential, was graded as distinction which is an evidence of possession of great potential of research capability. Now I am transformed into an inspiring textile professional with the technical knowledge and experience of the textile materials and products and the ability to successfully brand and market them.My ultimate career goal is to be a positive contributor to multiple IPs generating commercially viable products capable of providing safety and comfort for living beings.
