Faisal brings with him rich experience of Financial Services Industry. He has held responsibilities in Private Banking, Corporate Banking and Banking Operations during his past roles in Emirates Bank International PJSC, MCB Bank Limited, SME Bank Limited in various capacities. He was with Oracle Corporation based in Karachi as Regional Business Manager, Financial Services Industry for seven countries in South Asia. Faisal has an MBA with a specialization in ‘Change Management and Technology’ and also holds an M. Phil. in ‘Management and Information Technology’ from France.He joined MCB as the Head of Service Management in Information Technology Group and has had a focus on deployment of Sungard, Ambit/ Symbols Core Banking Application in MCB Bank Ltd as the Core Banking Project Leader and has achieved a milestone of 1100 plus branches on the new system across Pakistan including the roll out of Ambit/Symbols Application in MCB Sri Lanka Operations and Ambit/Symbols Islamic Core Banking System in MCB Islamic Banking in Pakistan. In 2010, he was then given responsibility as Head of Operations for the Commercial Branch Banking Group. Faisal joined 1 Link (Guarantee) Limited, Pakistan in 2011 as the Chief Executive Officer, The largest digital payment system in Pakistan and the first PSO/PSP approved by the State Bank of Pakistan. He played a leading and an instrumental role in the launch of PayPak, the first Domestic Payment Scheme in Pakistan duly approved and supported by the State Bank of Pakistan.He has been an Independent Director for the past 6 years on the Board of Directors of Pakistan Microfinance Network (PMN), an industry NPO aimed at supporting the Microfinance Sector and Financial Inclusion initiatives in the country.In 2016, Faisal joined MCB Bank Limited, Pakistan as SEVP/Chief Information Officer with the responsibility of leading the Digital Banking teams and the IT teams. His additional responsibilities in MCB Bank Included the leadership role in MNet Private Limited, a Payments Services Provider, as Chief Executive Officer. In addition to being the CIO at MCB, Faisal was on the board of 1 Link Private Limited as a Nominee Director of MCB Bank Limited.Faisal was the Chief Information Officer at Ajlan & Bros Holding Group in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Currently, he is SEVP/Chief Information Officer at the Bank of Punjab. He is a highly seasoned business leader with a strong track record of strategic thinking, hands-on execution and building strong teams who collaborate to improve the customer experience.
