As a Shell Projects manager at Globacom I managed and coordinated numerous on going and new communications projects with Shell. Globacom has a 10 year Contract, valued at over $500M, with Shell Nigeria to provide them with the following services: 1. Provision of GSM services to the oil producing remote and inaccessible communities in the Niger Delta: We Installed BTSs/Microwave Radio links at 72 sites of Shell's Facilities with existing fibre optics backbone for back-haul, masts, electricity supply2. Installed BTS on a floating oil rig (ship) connected with the shell fibre network. The BTS was to provide GSM services to the village totally cut off as it was only accessible by the sea3. Satellite based boat tracking systems - IVMS4. Over 20,000 GSM lines for Shell offices and staff5. WAN: Fibre Optics links between Lagos - Abuja, Lagos - Port Harcourt, Lagos - Warri6. IPLC: Lagos to Amsterdam, via Glo1 undersea fibre optics cableI coordinated the installation of the above services, managed them, liaised with the various technical departments to ensure 98% uptime
