AREA TEAM LEADER - OPERATION• Direct and supervise the activities of assign Operations Shift personnel. Performs supervisory functions at the level established by Management.• Discuss work requirements with Operations Plant Manager, Production planner and from other departments (Engineering and Maintenance) determining the best course of action and ensuring its implementation.• Prepared and issued appropriate work permits in accordance to company regulations and ensured work permit Procedures are adhered to.• Co-ordinates start-ups and shutdowns of plant equipment. Leads DCS operator to ensure major equipment are commissioned safely and efficiently prior to operation. Supervises shift operators to ensure that the operating procedures are correctly and consistently applied.• Co-ordinate with offshore platform and onshore facilities for condition changed such as pigging operation (Launching and receiving), emergency shutdown, planned shutdown and production limitation.• Leads and directs shift teams during major emergencies undertaking duties as Incident Controller. Follows Emergency Response Plan procedure.• Monitored the standards and personally provides opportunities for training and development of employees based on their KPI’s. This includes On the Job (OJT) training, classroom training, counselling and competence based promotion assessment. Acts as a mentor for graduates based on Competency Assurance Management System (CAMS).• Performs other related or similar duties as directed by Operation Manager such as participating in the performance appraisal of personnel, conducting technical interviews, preparing and maintaining a detailed shift log. • Establishes detailed plans for plant operational activities such as cylinder bottling and bulk distribution• Supervise and control the train movement on the main line by utilizing various computerized tools to ensure trains adhere to predetermined schedules, monitor the movement of trains on the control console, assess delays and implement change to rectify the situations, avoid trains bunching up and to ensure the safety of operations.• Liaise with Roster Planner, Timetable Planner and Depot engineers to ensure availability of train and train crew to cater for unexpected events.• Report incidents, failures or events that impact on the safety of the operations and identify the arrangements required and coordinate with the personals involved.• Coordinate service start-up, shut-down with the Chief Controller, Engineering Controller, Depot Controller, and Train Crew Supervisor.• Inform the Duty Manager of any operating conditions deviating from normal conditions.• Direct Station Masters and Train Attendants during incidents and emergencies, monitor passenger levels at platforms via the CCTV system and regulate the service to mitigate capacity problems and overcrowding.• Manage and modify on-line timetable to cater for unexpected events.• Man Check permit to work and apply protection for the authorized area for engineering work.• Isolate power when unauthorized personal in the track area and when train rescue is taking place.• Controlling the evacuation of the train in an emergency.• Monitor the tunnel ventilation system.
