Additional responsibilities include:Creating and/or leading development of various in house and external models to improve the efficiency and analysis of various actuarial computations as well as introduce new actuarial techniques within the organisation. These include developing the Risk Management Model for the ERM team, assisting the manager in developing the Reserves Volatility tool for the IFRS team, creating a stochastic model based on Excel and Palisade @Risk for the Optimisation of XOL Reinsurance and leading the backtesting of reserves model for all in house valuation of reserves, amongst others.Taking part and helping the Organisation in various ad hoc projects from time to time, for e.g. I carried out three pricing exercises in a single cycle when the Company was short staffed (have been the only one in the past three years to do so) and conduct in house and external training sessions (primarily based in MS Excel and VBA) regularly for actuaries as well as research and create various presentations for the management of the Organisation (such as presentations on Capital Modelling and insurance market analysis of the region).

Managing and leading a team in meeting all the regulatory requirements for two of the top ten largest general insurance companies (by gross written premium) of the UAE region. Regular work includes (but not limited to) performing reserving evaluations with adequate sufficiency margins, Motor and Medical pricing review, solvency computations and reviewing underwriting and financial conduct of the Companies. Maintaining client relations including communication of results and findings to various technical and non-technical personnel (including the board) of the Company.Various other adhoc internal and external projects

Working directly with the senior manager (appointed actuary) to handle one of the top five largest Company in the UAE (by Gross Written Premium). Day to day work included communication with the client for all data requirements and queries for the timely meeting of all regulatory deliverables as well as technical work of setting the initial reserves and carrying out the motor and medical pricing reviews of the exercises as well as analysing the financial conduct, underwriting, solvency and own funds of the Company.

Worked with the senior associates and partners in various legal matters specific for property law including preparing and filling of all legal documentation in the court of law. In addition, after I gained my bar license, I frequently appeared and putt forward my argument before the Honorable judge in the lower courts.

In charge of carrying out various duties including accounts, management, marketing & creating advertisement campaigns as well as assisting in the hiring of faculty (including teachers). In addition, I taught O levels Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, helping students not only achieve the best grades in their examinations, but also have a clear understanding on the key concepts.
