-Assist in the planning, organisation and execution of events, including Taste of Africa and Black History Youth Awards.-Work to raise awareness of Taste of Africa and other related events in order to increase community participation and enhance fundraising efforts.-Research possible ideas for fundraising events, determine viability and contribute towards their planning and execution.-Liaise with local businesses, churches, colleges and community organisations to build ties and encourage active participation in the work of Cultures CIC.-Approach local businesses etc to obtain funding, donations and sponsorship.

-Help with the work of the charity, building relationships of trust with service users in order to offer encouragement, support and guidance.-Participate in activities with service users such as playing games, social interaction and one-to-one conversations offering support and friendship.-Assist with the practical day-to-day running of the charity centre including meal preparation and serving, cleaning and any other ad-hoc duties required to create a warm and welcoming environment for service users.

-Examined the impact of low carbon designs and systems on the quality of life for social housing tenants.-Conducted a tenant survey to ascertain experience of living with low carbon technology.-Researched and captured best practices within the building industry in response to the Future Homes Standard and associated changes in Part F and L of the Building Regulations.-Reviewed North Star’s specifications for new-build properties and recommended revised specifications to support the company’s Zero Carbon journey.-Produced comprehensive reports, for presentation to the Development Team and the Executive Director for Assets and Growth, on finding of research and assessment of modern sustainable building practices and standards and their incorporation into current and future projects.
