In my capacity as a Manager Procurement & Contracts, i am responsible for: •Ensuring proper and transparent procurement (vendor development, quotations, tenders, evaluations, contract administration, payments etc.) in conformity with all applicable laws, rules and regulations and best practices including ADB, SPPRA & PPRA rules. •Prepare, manage, and maintain records of all procurements, contracts, management reports and other relevant information pertaining to all procurement and contracts made on accurate and timely basis.•To review annual procurement and contract activities as part of the review of the TransKarachi Business plan and relevant Operating Manuals.•Preparing tender and contract specifications, conducting tender processes including analysing proposals.•Ensuring effective implementation and management of contracts including bringing to notice variations by contractors, recommending remedial measures and advising on options available (diligence notice, cancellation of contract, arbitration etc.)•Developing and executing strategies, policies, and tools to improve procurement processes for goods, civil works, and services, implement performance measures against industry benchmarks and identifying key procurement saving opportunities.•Implementing process improvements in all phases of the procurement cycle–vendor registration, supplier rationalization, management of tender specifications, tender assessment and ensuring probity and to improve the quality and timely completion of procurement goods and services.
