Heading up the PPC for a startup. Great tea!I took a holistic approach to managing the Digital Marketing campaigns at the startup. Setup of PPC was supported by management of Google Analytics, SEO and Display activities. The key challenge was ensuring Google Analytics had been configured correctly so that we could use leanings from the data in order to make changes to digital campaigns.I setup Google Search Console and linked this to Google Analytics in order to share data between PPC and SEO channels. Creating a fully automated report allowed the daily monitoring of budgets and actions that helped move the account in the right direction.This was ROI focused account and - as a startup - there was a huge emphasis on brand building too. This placed huge significance on campaigns such as Google Shopping, Generic and Display.

Working with well-known fashion/beauty clients such as Rimmel, Max Factor, Bourjois, Clairol, Sally Hansen, OPI and Joop.Report automation has been a strong focus of mine in all PPC roles I have taken on. I use a combination of web query, SQL, VBA and Excel formulas to ensure daily reports are delivered on time and correctly.My experience of paid search is not limited to Google Adwords, I have helped automate reports for Amazon search in addition. By applying a similar template to both Adwords and Amazon, I was able to join the data from both reports, which allowed learning to be shared across platforms.

Contract PPC role, working on a large retail account. Budgets of £15 million per year.I have managed a range of executives during my PPC career, often using tools such as Trello, Wrike and Monday to aid with task and people management. This gives executives a sense of accomplishment and helps to automate their workflow.

In-house role working as part of the PPC team. Managing budgets over 4 million per month.Ad customisers were a huge focus in this role, due to the price match strategy John Lewis deploys. I managed large volumes of data in CSV files, manipulated and uploaded this on a regular basis, automating workflow as much as possible.On the automation side I created a campaign builder in Excel to streamline campaign creation. The tool allowed users to input any new products that had recently launched on site, and would create keywords and ad copy on behalf of the user. I also created an in-depth dashboard used by members of the PPC team and other channels.

Joining the Logica graduate scheme has provided me with a range of experience including digital marketing, bidding and building a new intranet. I have also had the opportunity to apply my hobby of video editing to the roles. I created a ‘Why Logica’ video where I used innovation thinking and creative flair to attract new graduates to the organisation.Marketing ExecutiveThe focus of this role was digital or ‘new’ marketing; this involved using Social Media, Video Blogs and Google Analytics to raise the profile of Logica’s 10 sustainability experts. • Made changes to the website after analysing reports in Google Analytics. • Used video editing experience to create Logica’s first ever video blog, which can be seen on blog.logica.com.Proposal AnalystMy role as a Proposal Analyst involved working on many bids under great pressure. The tasks varied from PQQ writing to document management.• Collected information from a variety of sources.• Gained additional skills in Word and Excel, which I quickly applied.Intranet AnalystI re-designed the company intranet, making it easier to navigate. A/B testing showed users found the new site easier to navigate. Developed skills on HTML, CSS and Javascript.

As a telemarketing consultant, I took on the challenge of generating leads for IT products by speaking to the directors of many different sized firms. I was part of the SAP team and therefore my focus was on pitching business management systems such as SAP R/3, Business One as well as Business Intelligence solutions. Conversations were usually based around the challenges with the current systems they used and how full integration could be of benefit. This experience has strongly developed my communication and influential skills. I was even awarded as the ‘Telemarketing Consultant of the week’ due to exceptional performance!
