The business operates from a number of locations and largest number of employees are based at the factory in Knights which is vertically integrated to the extent that an in-house electroplating and powder coating facility is site based. Unique to the business is a Vacuum Interrupter plant which is highly specialised and the only one of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Additionally comprehensive sheet metal production facilities are based at Knights with CAD and CAM facilities integrated into machining centres which are also supported by a complete tool room for in-house creation and management of tools. The business also has a plastic and dough moulding centre to further support specific designs of both the Switchgear and Distribution Transformer business units.Outside of Knights the WPI branch network is a OEM service network with branches strategically placed near its customer base in the Rustenburg, Carletonville, Secunda and Witbank areas.
