About Faith Elise Metlock
I am a PhD candidate at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. My research explores how social determinants of health and psychological health impacts the prevention and self-management of cardiovascular conditions, in underserved groups and applying that knowledge towards developing culturally informed interventions aimed at advancing cardiovascular health equity. I am the founder and CEO of Black Health Explained, a healthcare marketing agency specializing in customized media and branding solutions for teams and organizations engaging with underrepresented communities, particularly Black adults.I am also the founder and Executive Director of BHE Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aims to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions about their health, thereby enhancing overall well-being across communities
