I am a graphic designer. My career has led me to a few different opportunities in my hometown, and each day brings a diverse array of design challenges waiting to be solved. I work as the graphic designer for Express Printing Company and Express Sign Company in Monticello, Iowa. My job is comprised of designing a variety of print materials, from invitations to business cards, as well as vinyl signage and banners for businesses, events, and schools. I also instruct Graphics Academy at Kirkwood Community College, Jones County Regional Center. I teach Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign at a college level, to high school students. My greatest passion derives from the work I do as a freelance designer through my small business, Design by Faith. I specialize in wedding stationery and invitation design, logo design, and creating professional identities, promotional materials, and personalized gifts. All of my designs are created from scratch; my favorite physical media is watercolor, and I also enjoy digital illustration.Previously, I worked as a textbook cover designer at Kendall Hunt Publishing Company for almost five years.While I deeply enjoy my career as a designer, my biggest priority in life and greatest joy is spending time with my husband, Tim, and daughter, Morgan. My personal hobbies include running, swimming, gardening, attending concerts, morel mushroom hunting, and any active, outdoor activity.
