I have been blessed with the opportunity to lead the student newspaper staff. I help brainstorm relevant story ideas, assign stories, manage personnel, write and edit articles for online & print publication, and manage feedback. Throughout my 2.5 years on the Andersonian staff, we have increased the productivity of the staff from an average of 20 hours for completion to an average of 7 hours for completion. We have built the staff of writers from about 5 to our current 12. We accomplished this by increasing communication among the staff, managing staff and time more effectively, and creating a feedback environment in which we show staff members that they are valued.
