Current•Administer and maintain comprehensive employee benefit programs that include health and welfare and 401(k) plans as well as employee leave programs (FMLA, disability, time off and workers compensation) for 1,200 US based employees •Partner with the Benefits Manager to ensure effective implementation of Annual Open Enrollment, assisting in the preparation of educational materials and in presenting benefit plan changes to employees•Manage compliance, testing and reporting for all… Show more •Administer and maintain comprehensive employee benefit programs that include health and welfare and 401(k) plans as well as employee leave programs (FMLA, disability, time off and workers compensation) for 1,200 US based employees •Partner with the Benefits Manager to ensure effective implementation of Annual Open Enrollment, assisting in the preparation of educational materials and in presenting benefit plan changes to employees•Manage compliance, testing and reporting for all benefits plans including regulatory filings, QDRO and COBRA administration, vendor contract maintenance and billing•Conduct system audits including researching and determining reasons for errors; resolve errors which may include working directly with a third party vendor to obtain correct data/information•Perform benefits processes and complex calculations to support audit or ad-hoc reporting requests by writing queries and analyzing data for accuracy; introduce automation where applicable•Act as the liaison between employees and benefits vendors to research complex benefits issues, appeals and sensitive employee information; formulate recommendations/resolutions by analyzing fact patterns and applying plan provisions and benefits best practices•Build and maintain effective vendor relationships to quickly resolve issues, handle appeals and sensitive information as well as provide information in non-routine situations •Collaborate with the Benefits Manager to recommend process improvements, coaching and training opportunities that were identified from participant issues, recurring edits, process delays, and quality problems•Participate in collaborative meetings to develop and promote the wellness center; research and evaluate possible wellness opportunities.
