In the Long Distance and International (LDI) department, provided operational support for core network infrastructure, primarily used bash scripting to manage operations and configurations. Networks side includes regional pops, upstream networks, P2Ps, DPLCs, and servers running open-source Asterisk services like SIP and TDM with SS7 integration. Analyze real-time data and logs to diagnose root causes that can affect call quality, connection stability (latency or packet losses), or service availability to ensure optimal voice communication. We utilized Network Management System (NMS) tools to monitor VoIP traffic and maintain call statistics. We also oversees the underlying infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers, and other network devices, perform routine maintenance and backups.
