Faizan is currently an Architect at Microsoft specializing in matching client needs to solutions based on SharePoint, Azure and O365 while scoping services engagements designed to implement the solutions. While in this role Faizan has helped to scope and close services engagements in excess of $15 million.Prior to moving into the Architect role Faizan was a Senior Consultant specializing in SharePoint engagements. In this role he worked with some of Microsoft's largest global customers to help architect and implement SharePoint solutions including one that supported over 300,000 global users. In addition, Faizan helped to scope out and close services deals resulting in increased services revenue of over $500,000.In addition, Faizan has presented at over 6 Microsoft internal and external conferences on SharePoint related topics with an aggregate audience attendance of over 1200. He has also been a part of the SharePoint Rangers group and a leader in the Information Worker Community.

While at IndyMac Faizan lead all IT operations architecture initiatives across Data Networks, Data Storage, Windows Server and Desktop Systems, and Enterprise Monitoring. He also analyzed emerging technologies and made strategic technology recommendations aligning with business initiatives such as increased elasticity. •Created the IT Architecture Group covering standards, governance, strategy and enterprise-wide IT initiatives.•Executed a $9.2 million storage initiative to introduce EMC and Cisco SAN and storage technologies across all data centers.•Executed a $11.6 million Data Center initiative to expand power, cooling and space in a capacity constrained data center•Executed a $3.6 million Virtualization project to convert and consolidate physical servers into a newly created VMWare 3.0 virtual environment across data centers•Presented executive level proposals to introduce Disaster Recovery, Thin Client, Application Streaming, Citrix, Identity and Access Management and workflow automation solutions into the environment while demonstrating sub year ROIs.

While at 21st Century Insurance Faizan managed the Windows Technology Group, over 100 TB of storage across multiple Storage Area Networks, all SQL servers and over 100 annual projects. Lead initiatives covering Six Sigma process improvements, revamping Business Intelligence environment and strategy initiation, •Introduced concepts that fundamentally changed the way employees collaborate including the introduction of Sharepoint Portal Server and TeamTrack, a BPM/workflow solution.•Introduced VMWare and Citrix virtualization technologies to address cost and disaster recovery concerns. •Controlled a budget of over $3 million spanning hardware, software, and consultants.•Evaluated and/or Implemented EMC, Hitachi, StorageTek and IBM SAN and Tape solutions (Symmetrix, DMX, Shark, SRDF, PPRC, Flashcopy, TimeFinder)•Revamped Ascential/IBM Datastage Business Intelligence environment including Microstrategy. Introduced value proposition around SQL 2005 business intelligence offerings.

At Wire One Technologies Faizan managed an IT organization spanning 3 separate offices supporting users in over 50 geographically dispersed offices. Designed fully redundant networks spanning multiple hub and spoke model offices using Cisco VPN technologies. Facilitated the integration of over 6 different mergers and acquisitions nationwide. Played a critical role in analyzing and setting the strategy for IT in the organization. He also used strategic analysis to convert concepts into actions.•Built nationwide IS department from the ground up to support over 100% user growth.•Implemented Great Plains and Siebel •Initiated and managed conversion of a Frame Relay network to a Cisco VPN based network reducing network costs by over 80%. •Initiated and managed over 120 initiatives during 2001. •Moved company information systems from a myriad of implementations to a standards based, highly efficient setup. •Supported nationwide deployment of video conferencing POPs.
