-Faiz currently serves as Vice President & IP Head of Infosys, one of the largest global software services companies. He has over 21 years’ experience in handling wide array of IP issues. Prior to joining Infosys, he was heading IP group of another large IT company for over a decade.-He role primarily involves management of IP risk and also AI risk for the organization. -He manages portfolio for the organization, including systemic innovation mining, patent prosecution, technology licensing, risk mitigation and IP dispute resolution.-His role also involves negotiating a wide range of complex technology transactions, primarily around emerging legal issues in artificial intelligence based offerings. He is actively involved in establishing policy advocacy for upcoming AI legislations in US & European Union.-His role also involves techno-legal issues in software licenses, SaaS agreements, IT services agreements, Joint IP development agreement, technology transfer agreements etc.-Faiz is also responsible for IP risk mitigation for products and platforms involving open-source compliance and patent risk assessment. He also handles product and technology licensing in services and product context.- He manages array of outside counsels for patents, trademarks, technology, and compliance matters, along with due diligence for mergers and acquisitions (M&As);- Actively advise C-level executives on strategic IT initiatives and supporting teams in procurement, product development, software license compliance, IT support services, in connection with technology transactions, technology partnerships and IP matters.-Regularly speaks at national & international forums and conferences. He has also won several awards in area of IP management.
