Syed Faizy is a Partner and the Group Head of Corporate Practice at the Al Hashmi Law and advices in various areas, including general corporate, mining, M&A, employment, arbitration and dispute resolution matters. Syed Faizy has several years’ work experience with some leading names in India, Malaysia and Oman. He was also on the Board of a group of companies based in UAE and sits on senior advisory panels of some Non-Government Organizations and commercial bodies in India.Syed Faizy writes on various legal issues and some of his writings have been published in different international publications in Malaysia, Oman, and India in areas of corporate law, Islamic banking & finance, and labor law. He co-authored the exclusive Oman chapter on Employment Laws in the GLI Employment Law 2018 & 2019 editions, the Exclusive Oman Chapter on Corporate Immigration in International Comparative Legal Guide 2018 & 2019 editions, and Oman’s exclusive chapter on International Arbitration publication of the International Comparative Legal Guide 2019, besides having advised on some headline-making landmark deals in Oman. He has been twice awarded the ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ by the World Bank Group for his contribution to Doing Business 2020 and Doing Business 2021 published by the World Bank Group. He is also chosen by the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris, to represent Young Arbitrators and ADR Forum’s exclusive & sole Regional Representative for Oman for the 2021-2024 mandate.
