•Lead technical communication with customers to define simulation requirements and objectives in the ports and construction industries.•Define detailed technical requirements to be used by mechanical, electrical and software engineers.•Develop proposals and cost estimates•Travel world-wide to perform technical analysis, installations and present at trade shows and other sales related events.

•Designing and implementing automation solutions including sizing and selection of hardware, software development and electro-mechanical design.

•Research and interpret wind turbine performance data and independently verify the Windographer modelling algorithm.

•Led and supervised an engineering team of 12 people designing a solar powered home, which the team built and operated for an international university competition in Washington, D.C (budget $1M)

•Supervised and supported engineering students modelling and performing the detailed design of a solar thermal water heating system.

•Designed, built and installed an obstacle detection and guidance system for a visually-impaired, wheelchair bound person.•Designed PCB, programmed Atmel AVR micro-controllers and set up communication with ultrasonic sensors through I2C.

•Engineering design for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles including mechanical components design, weight and balance sheet management and sea-trial execution.

•Modelled dynamic behaviour of autonomous underwater vehicles, using concepts of mass and hydrodynamics, to conduct parametric control system optimization.
