I'm a Professor in Information Access and Retrieval at RMIT University; Director of the Centre for Human-AI Information Environments (CHAI); Deputy Chair of the RMIT Human Ethics Committee; Associate Investigator in the ARC CoE on Automated Decision-Making and Society.My key research interests include:* Web and Enterprise Search Engines and Recommender Systems* Measurement and Evaluation of Information Access and Retrieval Systems* Fairness, Accountability, Transparency and Ethics (FATE*) of Algorithms and AI* Interactive Search* User Analytics, Relevance and User Perception* Biomedical SearchI teach a range of courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels; these have included Web Programming and Applications, Scripting Languages, File Structures, Database Systems, Information Retrieval, and Research Methods
