DOJO Agency is a creative marketing communications agency that I co-founded in 2009. We develop core stories for businesses and campaign development executed through the entire marketing mix: digital, TV, radio, print, outdoor, social media, collateral and live events. As of 2015, I moved into an advisor role and away from tactical daily operations. As a small business owner, I have worked in numerous capacities within the agency. The following highlights some of my accomplishments: *Managed team of 7 full-time employees and 20+ contractors*Managed over 1+ million in ad campaign budgets *Sourced and trained staff on collaborative project management software, contact management software and HR tracking and reporting systems reducing operating expenses by 25% *Lead professional development trainings for staff. Curriculum included: conflict resolution, communication skills, personality assessments - Myers-Briggs Interest Inventory, Strong Interest Inventory, Strengthsfinder and Disability and Cultural Awareness workshops *Grew accounts with clients in health care, education, finance, non-profits, IT, creative firms and the arts*Partnered with Roosevelt High School, creating an experiential 8-week summer internship program for 15 transition age youth to learn about writing, publishing and digital marketing communications

PCC supports and promotes its mission, goals and values by developing the professional and personal capacity of all members of the community. A successful Employee Development program challenges and enables every employee to take charge of his or her future and thereby, increases the ability of the College to meet the challenges of the future. I developed a 90-minute training for PCC managers called "How to Manage the Career Development Conversation with Employees" and an all-day training for academic professionals, faculty and classified staff called "Take Charge of Your Career".

Worked with the Steps to Success team, a collaboration with PCC and the Department of Human Services (DHS) providing employment services to a diverse population receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) cash grants. Services included: program intake and orientation, weekly employment related workshops, one-on-one career counseling/coaching, education and training recommendations, development of individual career plans to obtain internships, employment or subsidized employment, job development, site placement and retention.I collaborated with numerous other agencies providing wrap around services to assist participants in reaching their personal, education, and career goals.

Worked with students and community members in the planning and implementation of career and personal development goals. Scope of role included: One-on-one career counseling, career and education decision making, career exploration, career planning, assessment tools, research to help choose a major, identify training and transfer options, develop and deliver career development workshops for students, community members and faculty.

Worked with a large and diverse workforce at OHSU serving AFSCME-represented employees, front-line workers, non-union employees, managers, faculty and students. I do one-on-one career counseling sessions and facilitate group trainings. Core Responsibilities: strategies for career advancement, career transition, interests, skills and career exploration, assessments, skill building resources, Individual Development Plan (IDP), resume and cover letter writing and interviewing strategies. I am a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® Certified Practitioner and a Strong Interest Inventory® Certified Practitioner. The Career and Workplace Enhancement (CWE) Center at OHSU is committed to providing staff with professional development, training opportunities, and organizational resources to be successful in their current positions or to move to the next level in their career at OHSU.

Writers' Dojo is a community of serious writers with a shared office and creative space. Our programs include free writing classes for kids, online publishing, master classes, readings and book launch parties.

Sold residential homes at the height of the condominium boom in Portland at a variety of high end buildings including: The Elizabeth, The Elliot, University Park and others.

I had a career in theater in Portland starting in 2001. I was in numerous productions, the culmination of which led to back to back performances at Artists Repertory Theatre (ART) in Christopher Durang's comedy, 'Mrs. Bob Cratchet's Wild Christmas Binge'​ and the Arthur Miller classic, 'Death of a Salesman'.
