About Niels Fallenbeck

After completing my studies in computer science with a diploma (Dipl. Inf.) I finished my PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in the field of distributed computing and virtualization technologies (some of you may remember the German Grid Iniative D-Grid).Afterwards, I worked for some years in the field of IT security at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied and Integrated Security AISEC where I lead the Cloud Computing Competence Center for Security (c4s). During this time I was a co-founding member of the German Chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA).Since 2016 I am working at Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) of Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW) where I am responsible for all aspects of the LRZ Compute Cloud operation.I am also a member of the LRZ Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT).In between, I ride my racing bike.
