Retailer Chair of the Retailer Wholesaler Group, a voluntary group of retailer and wholesaler representatives who work to identify opportunities and deliver solutions that improve outcomes for customers in the non-household water retail market.Additionally, I chair the RWG Settlement Group, which is seeking to change the market to ensure all refunds are passed through the market and on to customers in a timely manner.

I lead the Water Plus Regulation and Compliance team to influence positive change in the business water market and ensure compliance with market regulations.I was a retailer member of the Market Performance Committee for 2 years (2022-2024).

At Water Plus I was responsible for setting and implementing Water Plus’ market influence strategy, liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally, drafting responses to consultations and proactive change proposals. I represented Water Plus at a number of market groups, including the Retailer Wholesaler Group and User Forum. I set up the Water Plus Compliance Framework and developed the compliance function to enable the business to be compliant with market rules and regulations, including key regulatory policies to support compliance. I also put in place risk governance, to enable appropriate escalation of risk throughout the business.I was also an associated retailer member of the market Panel from March 2021 to December 2021.

I joined Baringa as a Consultant in September 2015, and was promoted to Senior Consultant in July 2016. The main focus of my work at Baringa has been on preparation for water market competition. I have supported clients with process design and requirements gathering, and most recently on market entry assurance.

My role on Caroline's campaign included organising campaign events, supporting campaign communications, managing the campaign budget and managing compliance with election rules.

While working as Political Advisor to Caroline Flint MP I was responsible for managing policy work across the Shadow DECC Team, focusing mainly on energy efficiency, energy market reform, and the low carbon economy, but covering a wide range of energy and climate policy issues. I led policy development work for Labour’s energy efficiency policy as announced at Party Conference 2014 and set out in the Green Paper ‘An end to cold homes: Labour’s energy efficiency green paper’. I was also part of the team that worked on Labour’s energy price freeze announcement and energy market reform package, set out at Party Conference 2013 and in the Green Paper ‘Powering Britain: One Nation Labour’s plans to reset the energy market’. I developed and maintained relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. I also drafted policy and political briefing notes, speeches, articles and press releases.

I joined PwC's Graduate scheme in August 2009, as an Associate and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2011.During my time at PwC I worked with multiple clients, supporting them with policy work, project management, workshop facilitation and strategy design as well as conducting research, and writing reports and publications. I worked across a number of different policy areas, including education, housing and local government. I spent six months working on PwC’s Forward Thinking Programme, focussing on government charging, localism and good growth. During this time I co-wrote 'Charging Ahead', a PwC publication on central government charging.

Working as part of the System Wide Issues and Futures Team, I was responsible for Horizon Scanning work, looking ahead 10 years or more to test policy / strategy against possible future changes. I ran the secretariat for the Home Office Horizon Scanning Group, made up of senior colleagues from the Home Office and related departments.

This was a temporary position alongside studying for my Masters supporting the Information Team in both a research and an administrative role. I was responsible for dealing with a high volume of student queries via email, over the telephone and in person. I worked flexibly, together with other Information Team colleagues to ensure a consistently high quality service was provided to students.
