Product Owner
Current• Help maintain clarity for the overall product vision and mission by working with a diverse collection of stakeholders and customers. • Coordinate with the Product Manager and other key stakeholders to maintain a long-term product area plan.• Work with Product Manager, development team, and architecture to identify and prioritize ongoing maintenance work to minimize future issues and take advantage of technological advancements.• Work with customer-facing teams to understand the impact of defects and prioritize to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.• Work with portfolio management throughout the development cycle to provide status updates on key features/epic progress, for organization reporting purposes.• Ensure the right feature for the product is being built based on an understanding of the stakeholders' and customers' needs/wants.• Review and approve all software changes made by the development team.• Recommend when a feature or set of features is ready to ship.• Create stories that meet the Definition of Ready (DOR) each sprint.• Build and keep a backlog depth of stories that follow the organizational DOR.• Identify, maintain, improve, and prioritize product backlog items.• Review or create product design to ensure consistency for new features.• Organize calls and other interactions with customers to identify needs and problems, as well as to validate feature requirements and initial designs.• Understand and use core agile concepts for writing good stories and for splitting large stories.• Facilitate user story mapping exercises with the team when starting new features.• Maintain a deep understanding of all areas of the product.
