As a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, my research was about the percolation of fluids in a porous media using a numerical mathematical model known as MPS (Moving Particle Semi-implicit). The work was focused on finding the best way to describe the porous medium with MPS, improve the numerical method, and simulate basic problems of oil extraction.
