Hadi Fanaee-T Email and Phone Number

Hadi Fanaee-T is an Associate Professor (and Docent) in Machine Learning at Halmstad University in Sweden. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science with distinction from the Faculty of Science at the University of Porto, Portugal, in November 2015, supervised by Professor Joao Gama (IEEE Fellow). His outstanding doctoral work led to him being named a finalist for the ERCIM Cor Baayen Young Researcher Award in 2017. Prior to his current position, he spent three years as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oslo, Norway, specializing in high-dimesnional data analysis. Before that, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the INESC TEC research institute in Portugal, contributing to the European FP7 Project "MAESTRA." His primary research interests include machine learning, data mining, tensor decompositions, and time series analysis. He has authored over 30 papers published in reputable journals and conferences. Additionally, he regularly serves as a Program Committee member for prestigious conferences like IJCAI, AAAI, and ECML-PKDD, and he reviews submissions for high-impact journals such as TDKE, TKDD, DAMI, ML, KAIS, KBS, and CSUR. He also serves as a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Frontiers in Big Data (Data Science Section). He has collaborated in advising numerous Ph.D. and Master's students.
