Supervise and train staff to effectively use Aleph and other technologies in library system administration and management.- E-Pay: Led in building an online transaction processing application to accept online payments on a PayPal - Aleph - PeopleSoft environment. Managed and coordinated in design, development, QA and production deployment of the project. Utilizing existing Aleph and Oracle database systems, developed functionalities to allow patrons to pay fees online, and when payment is made through PayPal, to see updated payment status in real time. Proper privileges are assigned to oracle schemas. - SBUFind: Led an effort in managing, designing and developing a search engine for University libraries collections and HSC library collection. The application is based on VuFind (Open source software) discovery tool, with new functions added to allow users to search multiple libraries within one unified interface. Technology used in SBUFind: PHP, AJAX, XML, bash shell, Solr etc.- System Administrator: Led and organized Aleph System Upgrade from v14 to v20, supported database upgrade to Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g and 11g. Fiscal Year Budget: Ensure 7+ millions library collection budget closed, rolled over and open new budget accurately and on time for the last 9 years.

About $2.5 million invoices of library serials subscription are loaded through this application every year. 2) Auto ordering: Implemented scripts to process EDI files and place orders with YBP to buy books and subscribe to journals. The automated process greatly reduced data entry time and sped up order cycle from average 90 days to 32 days.- AUTO Reporter: Developed stored procedures and SQL on Oracle, Perl and C shell scripts on system to do automatic data retrieving and reporting which give management over hundreds reports for library administration, budgets, acquisition, circulation, course reserves and authority that can be used in decision making. The reports can be monthly, weekly and/or daily. Library Staff with appropriate privileges can run the report from GUI client application.
